Eyaru Dahabiya
The name “Eyaru” is an ancient heliographic name that reflects the idea of what is paradise like for the pharaohs, the afterlife for pharaohs where they live in the Eyaru fields. When Eyaru was in the designing phase, it took its inspiration from the idea of Eyaru. Everything on Eyaru was inspired and customized according to the “Eyaru” concept. It was designed to show and let you experience the local Egyptian authentic culture.
Eyaru is all about the Egyptian spirit. You will get to experience the Egyptian culture and see the Egyptian spirit in everything around you. Everything on Eyaru is handmade down to every plate and carpet. You’ll feel the Egyptian spirit in every room you enter, with a different design in each that’s inspired from the concept of Eyaru in pharaohs’ time.
You will enjoy the most luxurious hospitality while exploring new destinations in Egypt through unique routes. You will visit many unforgettable sites along the Nile River between Luxor and Aswan, sites that are unique to Dahabiyas and not available on large cruises, such as El Hagz Island, Bassaw Village, and Gebel El-Silsila. You won’t only get to visit the amazing attractions between Luxor and Aswan, you will get to experience the real local life in each city you visit and go to their local markets. In Bassaw Village, you will visit a local’s house and stay with him and his family. You will experience a day in an Egyptian life and see how they truly live.
You meals on Eyaru will also have the Egyptian spirit in them. During you stay, all your meals will be true Egyptian authentic dishes. During your visits to the local markets, you can even buy fresh ingredients for your dinner that night or buy some fish and fire up the grills on the sundeck! You will get to live the Egyptian experience to its fullest. There is also the possibility to attend live cooking sessions of your dinner and learn local recipes that you can try when you get back home.
Eyaru can be enjoyed all year round and that due to Eyaru’s premier feature, its pergola. The pergola closes off on part of the sundeck by glass. So, there is no need to stay indoor during the cold months and miss the picturesque scenery of the Nile during your stay. That’s why Eyaru is the only Dahabiya that sail from Luxor to Aswan and vice versa.
Eyaru has no motors; it gets dragged by a tugboat from a distance, so you never feel any disturbing sounds or vibrations during your trip. And for the first time on the Nile, the staff of Eyaru stays at night on the tugboat, so you enjoy complete privacy on board.

During the construction, the designer of Eyaru made sure that each cabin is unique, each with a different design, for example, the colors of the cabins are different, but all are linked to the meaning of the name Eyaru. The inscriptions behind the bed, bedspread covers, and pillowcases are varied between papyrus plant, lotus flowers, palms, and banana trees; elements that represent the ancient Egyptian culture and the nature of southern Egypt.
