I would just like to write a quick review of this very helpful and informative company. I sent an email last week asking a few questions regarding a private tour to the pyramids from Sharm, I was sent a reply very quickly from Ahmed, who was extremely helpful(which makes a nice change) I have now booked with them and i'm travelling on 12th May, I'm very much looking forward to it, if the tour is anything like the treatment i've had up until now i'll be a very happy lady !!

The website is clear and easy to use and has excellent details about each trip, and with the Live Help function booking was made very easy with the help of Yosri Abd Allah (Memphis Tours) who guided me through each step and was there to help whenever needed. Yosri sent all the confirmation emails as soon as he could and ensured the booking process was easy and simple.
Altogether we booked two trips with Memphis. We booked a trip to Cairo by flight from Sharm, and also a Bedouin Camel Safari and meal in the desert.
In the morning we were picked up from our hotel by two very friendly and helpful gentlemen from Memphis who drove us to Sharm Airport in our private air conditioned vehicle. They guided us through the airport checkin procedures and waitied until we were all safely checked in and heading to the departure lounge. At the other end in Cairo, we were met by Nabil Abaza, who with his driver took us from the airport in the Centre of Cairo. On the way Nabil was very very friendly and knowlageble about Cairo as we drove through. On the way to the museum we stopped to take some pictures on a bridge over the river nile at Nabils suggestion.
When we arrived at the museum we were met by our own personal Egyptologist, Nabil 2 :) who showed us around the museum and told us about the most important pieces. Nabil 2, then accompanied us to a local Papyrus museum and perfumery, then took us to a lovely restaurant for lunch overlooking the Pyramids of Giza. Later after lunch he took us into the pyramid area and toured us around all three pyramids and told us all about them. We then ventured inside the 2nd Pyramid.
After the pyramids we moved to the Sphinx area and learned about the history further into the Platuea. Later in the afternoon Nabil 2 took us to the local market to do some haggling!!
In the evening we were met again by Nabil 1 from the airport where he took us for drinks at a local cafe, then onto the Sound and Light show at the pyramids.
All in all the day was perfect and both Nabil, Nabil 2 and our driver were really helpful through the day and really looked after us!
Our experience of the Memphis staff was then hightened when we were then met by more staff who took us into the Desert and on camel safari to a Bedouin village. After our safari under the starlight, we sampled a bedoiun dinner and entertainment from the locals.
To some up, Memphis tours made our holiday and our trips excellent. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wishes to tour anywhere in Egypt.
On arrival they asked us to pay the remaining money, but all the paperwork had all this about paying by credit card with a letter from your bank etc. Anyway they told us we had to pay in cash, no other choice. So i had to withdraw the money and hand in that day, there went all my spending money as I was hoping it was going on the credit card for the next month!
Trip was fantastic, we (me and my boyfriend) were the only ones in the bus, and had our own personal tour guide for the day.
The price was the same as what our tour guide was selling with the same inclusions so we could have gone with either. It just meant I knew we were going and what day before we left.
He took us to some extra places as we had some spare time so we saw the egyptian cotton factory and a papyrus factory which werent mentioned on the itinary.
Very well organised and a fantastic trip, I would recommend going and seeing it all. Feel I have now ticked the box so no need to go again but great thing to have done. Lunch that was included was very much like the all inclusive we were getting at the hotel, same rice and chicken mass produced thing, some soup and desserts on offer and bread. Was nice, but I was bored of that food from my hotel!
Still mcdonalds at cairo airport on the way back was there if we needed it
Their contact staff (Fatima) was fantastic! I contacted her late in the night (UK time) and got responses back within a very short time!
We were picked up when arranged, the guide was fantastic in Cairo and the day was very well co-ordinated. My son, aged 6, constantly asked the guide questions which were all dealt with perfectly.
I woulds have no hesitation recommending them again. Indeed when I return to Egypt later this year (ash clouuds allowing), time allowing, I will be asking them to arrange another trip for me!!!
We make a donation to the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation for each booking reserved.
