Meet and Greet, professional friendly tour guide, Memphis had it all even before we went I was extremely nervous about all the troubles in Egypt but was reassured and was looked after 5* class. Thank You Memphis.
On the Jeep Safari we were picked early from our hotel and had an amazing varied day. Our tour guide Abdul was great and looked after all day.
The day trip to Cairo was one of the best days of my life. We went for the private tour and it was just my wife and me! We had a private car with driver and an Egyptoligist called Ansary who was great. It was very informative and let the day go at our pace. If we wanted to stay longer/shorter at one place it was no problem. We would highly recommend.
Thank you Memphis for 2 great excursions!
Nasreen was such a lovely lady, and she was so well informed about the country's history and the current political situation as well.
We also visited The Egyptian Museum situated close to the Tahir Square, and we took a walk to the Square (on our own risk) which we had seen so many times on tv during the last month. We felt really safe, at daytime it was calm there.
A nice lunch at a Nile restaurant was also included, and instead of visiting a marked, we prefered to be taken to a shoppingmall.
This came out to be a memorable day, and next year we plan to take our children and grandchildren to Egypt, and we want to give them a daytrip to Cairo, and will definately choose Memphis Tour.
As it was a pretty long distance, and the bus drive would take 6-7 hours I started to look into alternatives.
I found an offer from Memphis Tours for a Day Trip to Cairo with a Airplane and I tried to book it.
They usually offer the tours on Wednesdays, this wouldn't fit my time line so I asked for an alternative and they organized a tour especially for us on Sunday. Through it cost a bit more.
So now about a tour.
Very well organized and on the contrary to the usual behavior - on time.
We had been picked up by the guide at 7 am at our hotel.
We've been driven to the airport. The flight took about an hour. In Cairo airport another guide picked us up and we had been driven to the Pyramids. There we picked up an egyptologist who accompanied us for the rest of the day. He told us about Pyramids, we went to two view points and then to the Sphinx. He guided us through a history a bit, showed some materials etc. After that we went to a perfume shop for a bit. Than we'd been invited to a dinner in an Egyptian restaurant. After the meal we went to a Egyptian Museum in the Cairo city center and had an 1,5 hours guided tour through museum. Afterwards we had some time to walk through the museum ourself. As the last stop of this day we went to a Khan el-Khalili, apparently the oldest market in the Middle East where we could buy some gifts and drink a very good Egyptian Tee with Mint and Lemon.
After this the driver took us back to the airport (around 9 pm), we flown back to Hurghada and had been brought to the Hotel at almost midnight.
It was a great day full of new experiences and unbelievable places.
The only thing... It could be a bit more historical information.
All the entry fees were included in the tour already as well as the meal. The only thing we had to pay extra were entry to the Pyramid itself.
Thank you very much for a very enjoyable day !

value for money, can recommend highly
My partner and I returned to Egypt this year after really enjoying a Nile Cruise last year. We decided to return to the same resort that we spent the second week at last year, El Gouna, as it was fabulous. We really wanted to visit Cairo but did not want a long coach journey, so decided we would prefer to fly. After looking on Trip Advisor, we contacted Memphis Tours by e-mail a couple of days prior to our departure. Fattoush, the young advisor was great, she arranged the trip, answered all our questions and made sure that we hav a full itinerary prior to our departure. Everything went like clockwork and the trip was amazing. We were collected at out hotel at 4.30 am for a 6 am flight to Cairo and we were home intime for dinner that night. Our driver(with our own air conditioned car) and guide were marvellous, they both took great care of us and were very knowledgable, thank you to them both for making our trip so special. A very nice lunch was included in the price in a restaurant overlooking the Nile. Wonderful trip, professionally arranged and operated by friendly, knowledgable staff, excellent value for money.

We spent 2 weeks in Egypt, one week nile cruise and one week stay in El Gouna. On 4th May while at El Gouna we had booked a day trip to Cairo with Mr Sakr of Memphis Tours. A modern, clean, air conditioned car picked us up on time from the hotel with a driver and tour rep, we were driven to the airport. We took the flight from Hurghada to Cairo and was met by another tour rep and another driver in a car similar to what we had earlier been picked up in. We were provided with bottles of water and our itinery explained. We drove and collected our Egyptologist at which point our tour rep left. We had the car for the whole day and the Egyptologist with us throughout the excursions. Maha the Egyptologist was very informative and took lots of photographs for us throughout the day too - Thank You! We visited Coptic Cairo, The Cairo Museum and the Pyramids and Sphinx which were all quite overwhelming. Mid way we stopped for lunch all provided and this was buffett style very nice and lots of choice. Throughout the day we were given fresh bottles of water when returning to the car. The last part of the day was supposed to be the bazaar but due to lack of tourism Maha advised us it may be better to go to the shopping mall which includes a replica of the market, we were given the choice and chose the shopping mall - a bonus being the air conditioning. We were given free time in the shopping mall and a collection time was arranged with the driver for him to drive us back to the airport, again we were not delayed. We were driven back to Cairo airport where we took our flight back to Hurghada. From Hurghada we were again picked up in the car and taken back to the hotel.
The day was super, a very long day but very much worth it to see the amazing sights of Egypt. This tour group were fantastic and very efficient, we didnt have to wait around as they were always on time. Everyone we came into contact with that day were friendly and very attentive to our needs. It was a very enjoyable day - very personal with it being just the two of us which was just perfect for our honeymoon. This was well worth the money, half of which you pay as a deposit and the other half of which you pay on the day to the tour rep. Fabulous, thank you memphis tours!

We were staying in Hurghada and booked two separate tours -- Luxor and Cairo. We are really glad we did because these trips would have been difficult to pull off on our own given that we were only there for a week.
Their trip advisor was very responsive to my emails and gave clear instructions and answered my questions promptly. Once in Egypt, the trip coordinators both spoke excellent English, and were very friendly and helpful. The pickups and dropoffs at the hotel were in a late model car -- very clean and comfortable -- and the drivers were both excellent, particularly the one in Cairo, which has world-class traffic.
But it's the guides at the sites who are the stars. We had "John" (Yahia Abdou Ahmed) in Luxor. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. John loved to answer our questions as we visited the Temple of Karnak and Valley of the Kings and he anticipated many of them. He's obviously very proud of his heritage.
In Cairo, Maha Mahmoud El Halwagy took us to a mosque, a Coptic Christian Church, the Egyptian Museum, the pyramids and the Sphinx. She, too, was extremely well versed about these sites and really brought our experience to life. Maha not only informed us about the antiquities we were seeing, but gave us valuable tips on how not to be hustled at the pyramids, introduced us to delicious pure sugar cane juice from one of her favorite street stands and gave us insights into daily life.
Memphis Tours is doing it right. They not only meet, but beat your expectations.
We were transferred from our hotel to the airport with a private minibus. We then took a flight to Cairo airport, where we were met by our private guide and driver. On the way to the Pyramids of Giza, we picked up our Egyptology guide, Hannah, who was going to guide us the whole day. We then went to see the Pyramids, the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple. At all the places we got some time to explore for us selves, but first Hannah explained to us different stories and facts.
After, we went to a local restaurant in Cairo where we were served an Egyptian buffet. The restaurant was very nice, and it had a great view to the pyramids. This meal was included in the price. After we had eaten, we went to Old Cairo where we among other things visited The Hanging Church and St. Sargius Curch (with the crypt of the holy Jesus-family). Next was a visit to the Egyptian Museum, where Hannah guided us through the museum. She had earlier worked at the museum, and she knew all about everything. Among many things we saw the mask of Tutankhamun. We also chose to go inside a room where we saw several mummies. This coasted 100 Egyptian dollars each person, but it was worth it.
At the evening, we went with our guide to Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the most famous and oldest bazaars in the Middle East. It was rather fussy, but an experience we wouldn’t miss. We shopped a little and ate at a local restaurant at the end. We where then transported back to the airport, where we took a flight back. We were picked up at the airport in Hurghada and transferred back to our hotel. After a day with many impressions, we went very tired to sleep.
The service we received was very professional and friendly all the way. We were incredibly satisfied with the Egyptology guide Hannah. She was extremely qualified, pleasant and service minded. The whole tour was much better than we had ever imagined, and it probably couldn’t have been much better than it was.
This is a trip that is more expensive than many of the other choices, but it was definitely worth it. We had a private driver and a guide who followed us all day long and we were driven to the places we wanted to go. If you think twice, the price was very reasonable compared to all the things we did and experienced.
This is a tour we absolutely would recommend to others who wants to experience Cairo in one day.
